POLITICS
At its core, political work is people-oriented.
Hi! My name’s Sam;
And from the first moment I started working in the district office of former Rep. Stephanie Murphy,
I've spent the last four years learning how to aid the political process in an ever-evolving media landscape.
No request is too big or too small, and since moving to Washington DC to work at The Capitol, that phrase is especially true.
From working the phones and databases in the legislative shop of former Rep. Stephanie Murphy
to editing the social media content out of a broom closet for Majority Leader Steny Hoyer,
no request is too big nor too small.
We all learn from each other,
from me teaching some how to rotoscope in After Effects
to my boss teaching me how to work a fax machine.
The purpose behind this passion is simple: political work is people-oriented, and we should be the best versions of ourselves possible.
Every day is a chance to push yourself to become a better you, and with all the developments in digital tools coming out seemingly every day, we have an opportunity to make the best work possible like no other time.
